Free escape room: Marvelli's Last Show

Halloween 1938. The carnival gates just locked behind you.

Ringmaster Aurelio Marvelli made a deal to keep his carnival running forever, and it froze at three minutes to midnight, troupe and all. Once a year the gates reappear. Your group has one night to give the show the curtain call it never had.

You explore five moonlit scenes in 360°: the front gate, the game-stall midway, a fortune teller’s tent, a hall of mirrors and the big top. Any player can open any puzzle, and some stalls hold answers that other stalls need, so the group keeps talking, comparing what each player sees.

Another free escape room: Escape Your Office

Friday, 17:52. Somebody ate the birthday cake.

The office security bot takes the missing cake badly. It seals the floor for a surprise audit, and nobody goes home for the weekend until the audit passes. Your team splits up over an open office, a boardroom and a kitchen you can look around in 360°, trades clues out loud and gets everyone home.

It is short, so it fits a meeting opener, a first game for a team that never plays, or a quick check that everyone can connect before a longer room.

We built its rooms from phone photos of a real office. Want one of yours? See custom escape rooms.

Free escape room questions

Are these escape rooms really free?

Yes. Marvelli's Last Show and Escape Your Office are free. The person who sets up the game makes a free Superglue account and starts a room. Everyone else opens the link and types a name. There is no download and nothing to buy.

How many people can play the free escape rooms?

Marvelli's Last Show takes 2–8 players and Escape Your Office takes 2–10 players, in one room. That is enough for most friend groups, families and small teams.

How long does it take?

Plan for about 90 min for Marvelli's Last Show and about 20 min for Escape Your Office.

Is it scary?

Marvelli’s Last Show is spooky rather than scary: think haunted fairground ride, not horror film. There is no gore and nothing jumps out at you. Escape Your Office is not scary at all: sticky notes, voicemails from colleagues and a bot that takes cake very seriously.

What if we get stuck?

In Marvelli’s Last Show, ask ZOLTARA, the fortune-telling machine. Every puzzle has three hints, each more direct than the last, and there are no penalties, so groups who never play video games do fine. In Escape Your Office, each lock has hints, and a game host can give a nudge.

What do we need to play?

A laptop or desktop computer for each player, a modern browser and a call to talk on, such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or Discord. Phones are not supported for escape rooms.

Are there more free games?

Yes. For a shorter free game with the same co-op feel, try Holloway. The other 9 escape rooms come with Plus for $9 a month.
