Questions
Playing
- Do players pay?
- No. Only the organiser pays, and only for Plus, Team or a hosted event. Everyone else joins with the link the organiser shares.
- Which games are free?
- Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, ALIGNED, Fire the Vibecoder, Holloway, Robo Word Finder, Consensus, Marvelli's Last Show, Escape Your Office. Free games need a free organiser account and nothing else.
- How many people can play?
- Up to 10 players per room in most games (an ALIGNED room holds up to 30, a KTANE room up to 20). Bigger groups split into rooms that play at the same time: up to 5 rooms on the Team plan, or up to 5 rooms per game master booking. For bigger events, talk to us.
- What do we need?
- A browser and a call. The games run best on a laptop or desktop; some games also work on phones. Talk on Zoom, Meet, Teams, Discord or any other call.
Plans
- What is the difference between Plus and Team?
- Both unlock all 21 games with unlimited sessions. Plus runs one room at a time. Team runs up to 5 rooms at once (about 50 players) and adds the Slack launcher, invoices and priority support.
- Can I pay yearly?
- Yes. Plus is $79 a year and Team is $490 a year, instead of $9 and $49 a month.
- Can I cancel?
- Any time, from your account. The plan runs until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.
- What currency are the prices in?
- US dollars.
Hosted events
- What does a game master do?
- They set up the game, explain the rules, keep the pace, give hints and make sure nobody gets left behind, so you get to play too.
- How does the price work for a big group?
- $199 per room, up to 10 players each. Book one room per 10 players; the rooms play at the same time. For large events or payment by invoice, talk to us.
- Do you run holiday events?
- Yes, and December fills up first. Book in October or November if you want a December date.
Custom escape room
- Can you build an escape room of our own office?
- Yes. Send us photos of two or three rooms at work and we build a private escape room from them, with your team in the clues. It costs $499 once and includes 12 months of unlimited play, up to 10 players per session. Details are on the custom escape room page.
